 The Trip - NEW!

 Just Me

 The Family

One girl's life. And it's boring as Hell. LOL! But seriously, let's get the basics out of the way. I'm 29 (eep). I'm a not-so-lowly-anymore supervisor at a huge insurance company. I work nights because the pay is better and the shifts are only 3 days a week. I do have a BS degree, in Biology of all things. So far it's been very useful in helping me tutor my sister in her Microbiology class and also the textbooks on my shelves make me look really smart.

As you can tell by my collection, I am totally obsessed with anime cels. But it didn't start out that way. When I was a child, I watched what plenty of kids did: Voltron, Robotech, Force Five (which included my all-time favorite show Spaceketeers). I also had the good luck to watch other cartoons that were actually anime: Little Women, Fables of the Green Forest, and Super Book to name a few. I didn't know at the time I was laying the foundation for something that was to stick with me for a long time!

I spent several years overseas (in the Philippines) as a child. Since then, I've visited various countries in Europe, a couple of cities in Mexico, plenty of states, and lived in Austin, Dallas-Ft. Worth, San Diego, and San Antonio. My early life seems to have given me the wanderlust.

What do I do when I am not glommed onto the computer searching for anime cels? I'm watching anime. Hah! What else? Well, believe it or not, I like to read: poetry, novels, plays, nonfiction, etc. I even write a bit, but it's hard to make time for it. If I am not traveling somewhere, I am making travel plans. I try and visit at least one new place a year. This past October, a friend and I took a week to drive up the coast of Maine. Truly breathtaking. I also enjoy swimming and hiking when I'm actually in the mood to exercise. >_<

My 3 other siblings and I were never allowed pets, so as adults we have all over compensated. At one point when I was working in a pet store to put myself through school, I had a Meyers parrot, a ball python, an iguana, and a stray kitty. Ah - job perks! Cast off animals and discounts on the food! The snake died and the iguana I gave to someone who had more room. My bird (traitor) fell in love with my ex and so I gave her to him as a farewell present. So, it's just me and the cat now. But between my two brothers and sister, we have 7 dogs and 5 cats. Yeesh.

If anyone has bothered to read down this far, I will say that hmmm...maybe next time I'll try lying to make my little auto-biography more interesting? ;o) But seriously, as a child, I loved these "cartoons." As an adult, I stumbled on them again in the form of Toonami on CN. They were showing back to back episodes of Voltron and Robotech and I was hooked. And an insomniac. The hobby (er, obsession) couldn't have come at a better time. I had just broken up with someone who had been in my life for almost 6 years. I found myself with long hours of empty time. So I started surfing the internet, one thing led to another, and here I am today a total junkie to the anime world and all its prurient delights! ^_^

Well, I think I've said enough (perhaps too much >_<). So, I'll shut up and invite you to explore the more interesting part of my site: the cels!
